What to Expect at Our Office
Dr Karen, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that we see your child for their first dental visit by their 1st birthday. Early dental visits promote healthy habits and experiences for children as they grow. We understand that the first visit to the dentist can be daunting and stressful for both children and their parents, and we promise to make this first experience as comfortable as possible. Helpful tips to prepare for your child’s first visit:
- Keep it positive!
- Avoid words such as “hurt”, “needle”, “shot”, “pull”.
- If you are unsure how to describe a procedure, allow us to tell them.
- Take a virtual tour with your little one to make them more comfortable.
